Road Trip Rental FAQs
Unlimited mileage is available for most car classes in the U.S. and Canada. Larger or Specialty vehicles (such as large passenger vans, large cargo vans, large SUVs or Exotic cars) come with limited mileage and an incremental cost of $0.10 - $0.25 for every additional mile/kilometer over the allowed limit. Click here for more information on unlimited mileage and rental restrictions.
At participating Enterprise rental locations, a vehicle can be rented in one location and returned to another; however, please be advised that:
- Some one-way rentals are assessed a one-time drop charge or mileage charge in addition to the rental rate.
- The drop charge fee varies by rental location, return location, and time of year. If there is a drop charge fee, it will be disclosed when you book via the web site and is payable at the time of pick up.
- The rate to go one way may also be higher than if returning to the same location.
- Please book your one-way rentals in advance.
- Rentals that are returned within the same city could be subject to a drop charge, mileage charge, or higher rate.
Most Enterprise Airport Locations offer the following equipment at an additional per day charge:
- Child Seats
- GPS/Navigational Systems
- Ski Racks
Enterprise does not offer snow chains as additional equipment nor can snow chains be placed on rental vehicles. Our vehicles are equipped with all-season tires.
Pets are allowed in rental vehicles. Customers need to keep pets crated and return their rental car in clean condition and free of pet hair to avoid cleaning/detailing fees. Service animals used by customers with disabilities are allowed in the vehicle without a carrier.
